Tell us about your business and what you offer clients?
My business is focused on providing Atlanta parents with modern, custom portraits of their precious little ones.
When did you first become interested in photography?
During summer vacation when I was 12 years old, my family traveled from our small hometown in Georgia to northern California. Because these types of trips were very rare for my family, I remember wanting to soak up every detail, and I snapped many rolls of film to share with my friends back home.
How do you create an emotional connection with your clients?
I like to get to know my clients before our session takes place. At the session, I try to put everyone at ease so that they are comfortable and natural in front of my camera. With children, I usually hang out and play for a while before we get started so that he/she has time to “warm up” to me. The most helpful thing for me is patience. I never rush. I always take the time to ensure that I connect with my little clients and accomplish my vision for that particular session.
Do you have a favorite shoot or client experience?
In late 2007, I documented an emotional military homecoming with a very sweet family at Hartsfield-Jackson airport. You can read more about this shoot on my blog »
