Founding Partners: Drew Tyndell & Ashley Nixon
Studio’s Background: Drew attended Ringling School of Art and Design, and was an Art Director at Cole & Weber in Portland before coming to Turner Classic Movies in 2004- Ashley worked at prodcos in Atl and NY and then at Cartoon Network for seven years- the last three as Director of Production. They both quit their jobs at Turner in 2005 and teamed up to start Awesome Inc.

Why is your studio in ATL? Because …
What’s your biggest biz problem in ATL? NY networks and agencies want to work with LA studios, LA networks and agencies want to work with NY studios, and Atlanta networks and agencies want to work anywhere but here.
What is your company doing to help promote creativity in ATL? Everything we can!
What makes your company different than other creative shops in ATL? We get asked this a lot, and feel that it is such an obvious answer- our work. We think that every studio / agency / prodco should be setting itself apart by doing work like no other… Hopefully we’re accomplishing that.
What do you look for when hiring new talent? A strong design sense, good After Effects skillz, and humility.
What clients do you work on? Our client list includes Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, Mother NY, mun2, Saatchi & Saatchi NY, and Fuel TV.
Any clients based in ATL? Our Turner clients are based here- Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network LA, and Adult Swim.
Number of employees? Two full time, but we use a staff of freelancers as jobs mount up.
Why should ATL creatives know about your shop? We would love to work with more ATL creatives- both as freelancers and as clients- hopefully the ATL creatives site is a great way for us all to connect.
