Work Experience:
I graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008.  From there I was hired by Carter’s(baby clothing) here in Atlanta as an intern, then soon after hired as a full-time artist.  My work at Carter’s and the personal work shown here don’t reflect one another very much- it’s the perfect balance for my double-sided creative needs.
Clients You’ve helped:
Mote Marine Laboratory, Tricycle Press, Kilroy and Maw, Neko Case, M. Ward, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Califone, OK Productions, Creative Yarns, RCAD Design Center
What do you think needs to happen for ATL to be respected on a worldwide creative level?
Well I haven’t been here for very long, but it seems like Atlanta has a ton of great talent and it’s just really spread out in a lot of clusters.  There is a wide range of strong work here, so I think it would be neat if there was one main central hub that represented and culminated all that talent.  Like a big portfolio of portfolios.  Then artists/photographers could meet other local creatives and form a stronger bond.  Like a mother ship of awesome art, ha ha.  I think that would create a loud voice for Atlanta’s creative realm.

Inspired By The Fabulous Salons Of The South

What is Beauty Shop? The Beauty Shop line is a collection of organic cotton bags featuring metalwork by Atlanta’s new resident and local artist Sana Harris @ WristieLove.  Each ‘bag tag’ is individually etched and finished using the resist method dating back to the middle ages. Bags containing graphics are screen printed  by hand with original designs using non-toxic, water based ink.  All leather trim is acquired from post-consumer production. Preventing wastage. In addition, all metalwork is hand sewn to fabric as an appliqué giving each piece a unique feel and charm!
